Video week 1/ date: 2/11/19,Twitter, URL:https://twitter.com/i/status/1094995178908196870. Middleton Physical Education (organization) with Mrs. Chalmers, Mrs.Mcwherter, and Mrs.Santeford are having the students go to the plank position, and have them do a dance type movement which also goes with the beat of the song that’s being played at the same time, The Cupid Shuffle. I chose this topic because I enjoyed that the teachers had given the students a difficult challenge to stay up and also keep moving, but I also really liked the idea of the teachers using a popular song the students would find fun to dance too. This topic is relevant to me because when I was being taught sometimes a difficult task, there would be a spark of motivation that helped me or even something similar to my life (Example like music) that made the task fun.
Video week 2/ date: 2/20/19,Twitter, URL:https://twitter.com/i/status/1098370839039352832. Pleasant Knoll Elementary Physical education (organization) with Mr. Dillon and Mr. Walker are teaching students to get in a group of 3 to 4 to play a game called cross the river. Cross the river is when the student will have to plan and think with the tools they have been given, and try to make it to the half of the gym. I chose this topic because in my era of physical education we never played a strategy game like cross the river. I found it interesting to let students decide in their group how to take on the challenge. This topic is relevant to me because I played games like this when I was a kid in recess or even a sport, and looking at the field of physical education I’d like to take this idea and use it for future students.
Video Week 3/ date: 3/1/19,Twitter, URL:https://twitter.com/i/status/1101527219686522881. The Westchester Primary School Physical Education (organization) are having the students dribble a basketball all around the gymnasium by themselves to the beat of the Cha Cha Slide song. While the song keeps moving, each student makes a dribbling dance to the different beats throughout the song. I chose this topic because it doesn’t only have the kids dribbling a ball around the gym needlessly, it teaches the kids to be creative and to have fun with the exercise. This topic is relevant to me because I will get bored if I do something regularly without change, and I like the idea of adding different ways to be creative because it will bring a positive attitude to one’s day.
Video Week 4/ date: 3/8/19,Twitter,URL: https://twitter.com/i/status/1104158386604650496. The Pleasant Knoll Elementary Physical education (organization) with Mr. Dillon and Mr. Walker are teaching dribbling, shooting, and goalkeeping soccer skills in a circuit form of exercise. I chose this topic because I like the idea of having all students thinking and working hard, and keeping them moving throughout the circuit. I also like the point of not having kids just sitting around being lazy. This topic is relevant to me because I always enjoyed having the challenge of not only working hard, but having to really think of what I have to do to complete my task or goal.
Video Week 5 /date: 3/14/19, Twitter, URL: https://twitter.com/i/status/1106319960480075776. The Rocky River Physical Education (organization) are having their students pair up into groups of two, and then the students will have one yoga ball, and each student will have a pair of drum sticks between them. Their will be a song chosen with a beat, and the students who are paired up will hit the yoga ball with the drum sticks in a pattern. I chose this topic because it doesn’t only teach each kid coordination, but it also teaches the kids to work together with team work and also teaches them positive social interactions. This type of physical education is relevant to me because it’s what taught me to not stay to the side and ignore everyone, but to join the activity and make new friends in a positive manner.
